The above list represents some of our areas of service, however, space would not permit us to list all the areas in which we are capable of helping. Counsellors at Elim are professional members of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and as such have the qualification and clinical experience necessary to use the Certified Canadian Counsellor designation. Elim is also verified in Psychology Today as a mental health organization offering psychological services in Ottawa Canada.

Along with the psychological training, Elim counsellors are also trained to offer Christian Counselling. Christian Counselling involves understanding the spiritual issues raised by people of faith when confronted with life’s challenges. For example, some people of the Christian faith, when faced with death of a relative, may also have to deal with anger towards God who they blame for allowing that to happen. Our Christian Counselling approach makes us able to deal with these issues in ways that a secular approach might not be equipped to do. Please note also that Christian Counselling does not imply that we impose Christian doctrines.
